Oh no. We don’t know quite how to say this in British-English, Emma, but we know how to say it in French: it’s called fashion faux paus. While vacationing in an island resort, Harry Potter’s Emma Watson decided to sun tan. Which is cool, right? The girl was pale. The problem is that her swimwear choice, or lack thereof, did not allow for removable shoulder straps. In other words, it wasn’t a bandeau swimsuit. It was a plain underwire bikini that she tried to disguise as a bandeau. Unsuccesfully.
Here’s our thing with this: if you’re a celebrity with gazillions of dollars (she’s one of the top earning actresses of 2009, BTW), why on earth would you do that to yourself? To have to bring down the straps in front of everyone at the pool, risking a nip slip, and pull them underneath your underarms leaving the armholes exposed like that? We don’t get it.
