The 2013 Luli Fama Fashion Show – Swim Week in Miami
Luli Fama put on quite an eventful runway show at the Raleigh Hotel, probably the most entertaining I have seen all week. The music was bumping and they had flapper dancers perform with a band before the show. The designer had breathtaking pieces, but the swimsuits with printed fabric were by far the most memorable. From her bandeau silhouettes to her triangle tops, this designer created a wide variety of prints that are exclusive to her line and can’t be found anywhere else. Luli Fama is known for being the inventor of the scrunchy bottom and she went all out during the show with scrunchy bottoms that had moderate coverage to Brazilian coverage at the rear. Thank you, Luli Fama, for putting on such noteworthy event.
From Runway to “Real Life”, Vera Wang’s Spring 2012 Runway Show Gives Inspires Looks for Your Wardrobe
This year at New York Fashion Week Vera Wang brought some whimsy to the runway with her Alice in Wonderland inspired Spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear collection. For this collection, Wang applied antique inspiration to modern tailoring and design. With impeccable taste. The fabric, color, and tailoring choices combined created a bold yet elegant collection. Fabrics were at the forefront for Wang’s runway show with overwhelming texture. The show was filled with perforated pique, organza, tulle, seemingly weightless chiffon, and oversize eyelet. The movement of each piece on the runway gives homage to the quality of fabric. Wang’s collection was brimming with sheer style, but we’re not disapproving! Betsey Johnson Sends Sexy Pin-Up Down the Runway at New York Fashion Week
Our favorite playful designer, Betsey Johnson, debuted her Spring 2012 Ready to Wear collection Monday at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York. The show presented in her usual rock-n-roll party vibe was nothing short of entertaining. The designer who grew up dancing and found a passion for costumes filled her collection with lace, leather ties, sheer garments, classic prints, and the powerful pin-up style. Johnson’s 69th runway show exhibited the powerful female with luxurious style. So what exactly did Betsey Johnson Swimwear bring to the tents this year? An abundance of lingerie-inspired looks with sheer fabrics and corset lacing strutted down the runway. Johnson’s signature tulle-girded tutu dresses were still there but made enough room for some structured bubble skirts and floor lengths gowns. Hello Swimwear 2012, Kicking Off Miami Fashion Week!
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Miami is finally here and we are so excited! It’s been crazy here around the office getting everything prepared for the swimwear 2012 season (including big marking down this season's merchandise to make room). But we finally have our boots strapped (we mean sandals), Smart Water in our purses, and 5 hour energy drinks for those long Miami nights (we mean party nights). Miami Fashion Week brings thousands of visitors a year to the sunny beaches of Miami where buyers, editors, and fashion lovers alike can spot the newest trends in swimwear.
