Strut your stuff in all the colors of the rainbow! This summer filled two piece has adorable pocket detail on the cup and bottoms. The bottoms also feature two funky contrasting fabrics, with rainbow print on the front and a solid blue back.

Starry Night Underwire

This starry two piece swimsuit features a playful zigzag print and even provides underwire top for a little extra support.

Betsey Johnson Spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Our favorite playful designer, Betsey Johnson, debuted her Spring 2012 Ready to Wear collection Monday at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York. The show presented in her usual rock-n-roll party vibe was nothing short of entertaining. The designer who grew up dancing and found a passion for costumes filled her collection with lace, leather ties, sheer garments, classic prints, and the powerful pin-up style. Johnson’s 69th runway show exhibited the powerful female with luxurious style.

So what exactly did Betsey Johnson Swimwear bring to the tents this year? An abundance of lingerie-inspired looks with sheer fabrics and corset lacing strutted down the runway. Johnson’s signature tulle-girded tutu dresses were still there but made enough room for some structured bubble skirts and floor lengths gowns. A runway full of sexy pin-up glamour proved to be easy for this collection with leather ties, corset bodices, and lace accents.

Some high glamour pieces perfect for a pin-up look included high-waisted shorts, a tuxedo inspired dress, an overall romper, underwire corsets, and piping and boning detail. With Johnson’s classicly feminine but rocker-girl attitude the collection boasted floral, ruffles, and bows coupled with chains and studs! Johnson even included a sexy black underwire swimsuit covered in a skull print and paired it with lace-up heels, a brazier, and a bold lip – all in Hot Pink!

A burst of fuchsia florals and accents popped up on shoes, braziers, hats, a dress and even a jacket lining. You know if Betsey has picked it, the color is going to be hot! Johnson ended the show seamlessly with metallic fringed dresses with bold colors of aqua, fuchsia, orange and topped it all off with a metallic fringed, sea-foam accented high-waisted short and push-up brazier.

Betsey’s swimwear line is never far from her gorgeous runway collections and her 2012 Swimwear collection is to die for! Johnson’s classy Primrose story line pulls vintage glamour together with flirty feminine details. Primrose features a floral print of black and white with bold blue and violet hues. The January edition of Elle Magazine featuring SJP recommends a warm-weather vacay in the Mexican Riviera, and picks a lovely little suit by Betsey Johnson Swimwear to go with your getaway.

The black swimsuit Betsey debuts this season is the Rose Parade Triangle, which showcases a whimsical boho embroidery of roses and flowers (and goes with the upcoming Valentine’s day theme, btw).

We adore this Betsey Johnson style for its comfort, functionality, and chicness. For starters, the sexy string bottom offers an adjustable way to find the perfect fit for your waistline as it ties on the sides. Also, the embroidered detail at the rear gives this suit an extra bit of oomph and, it makes us want to say “awwwww”. The matching embroidery in the triangle swimsuit top also offers the comfort of soft removable padding for shape, which can be taken out at one’s preference.

The ‘Reform School’ storyline by Betsey Johnson Swimwear plays on the “good girl turned bad” ideology (hence the name), where the naughty-yet-nice gal meets flirty pinup. Betsey Johnson 'Cabaret' flapper style swimsuit

The new Betsey Johnson Swimwear is an adorable mix to the 2010 debuts. It’s no secret that Betsey is all about pinup swimwear. The bandeau with demi cups, the polka dots, the hipster bottoms… can anyone say Bridget Bardot? This year, though, Betsey Johnson mixes 50s fashion with flapper style, and the result is delicious. There’s several storylines already out like Patty Cakes, and Ladies & Gentlemen, but the upcoming storyline, Cabaret, has our jaws on the floor. Look at this pinupy flapper girl. Makes you want to dress the part, right?
