Meow! A seriously jaw dropping shot of J.Lo in Roberto Cavalli is making the rounds in the fashion realm this week. Her body pose and facial expression is so feline it makes us want to purr. The bootylicious celeb is actually the teaser for the new Roberto Cavalli book, where several celebrities are featured with the designer’s garments. High fashion is always present in luxury swimwear, where hot new trends just like this one stand out. We’ve discussed our never-ending love for animal prints, but hello!!! Mr. Cavalli shows us this trend is NOT withering away for 2011. In fact, it’s alive and stronger than ever for next year.

So it seems the blonde beauty is hot stuff in Italy since Vanity Fair features her for a fashion spread this month… wearing not much else than our favorite type of garment: swimwear. A bold choice of bottom as we can all see in the first image. Not sure what she’s cooking in that stove, but we know what’s sizzling: her bum. Sometimes rules were made to be broken – especially in the fashion world. Although your mother may have taught you that blue and black are both great colors because they can be worn with practically anything, she made it clear that wearing black and blue together was taboo. Well rule breakers of the world, celebrities such as Kelly Osbourne, Naomi Watts, and Lea Michele are showing us that black and blue worn together is not only allowed, but super sexy. And luckily for all of us, this trend is super easy to translate into swimwear.

We understand most people don’t have personal stylists like our favorite swimsuit-wearing celebrities. But that doesn’t mean your swimsuit style has to suffer! We understand it can be daunting to find a swimsuit because there are so many things you have to consider: coverage, cut, color, chicness. That’s why on our new site we’ve taken our large selection of swimsuits and categorized them by trends. This is a cool new feature that will allow you to narrow down your search and find the perfect swimsuit for any occasion.
Product Trends Tab
The trends are located on the left hand side on any page of our website. We tagged all of our swimwear into at least one, but often up to five or six, of these 31 categories allowing you to find swimsuits that incorporate a certain trend you’re interested in. On every product page, just below the item description, there is a collection of tabs. One of these tabs is a “Product Trends” tab, so you can see what trends a swimsuit incorporates. You can also add your own tags!
Sassy Sienna by OndadeMar Vintage, a great example of Convertible Swimwear
One of our new trends is Convertible Swimsuits. Convertible swimsuits means the suit converts into many different styles. For example, the Sassy Sienna by OndadeMar Vintage can be worn as a v-neck, a halter, or a bandeau top.
Another one of our great new trends is Ruffles, which we recently introduced by showing you how to get Katy Perry’s look. Ruffled swimwear is playful and adds visual interest to any suit.

Ever wanted to rock a strapless swimsuit but wanted the support of straps? We have the perfect trend for you: the one-shouldered swimsuit. Not only is one-shouldered swimwear a brand new trend on our new site, celebrities love this look on everything from evening gowns to swimsuits. Glee star Jenna Ushowitz was recently spotted rocking a one shouldered bandeau bikini. We think if she was going to swimsuit regionals, she would easily win the whole thing.
Yellow Tamed Tiger Bandeau
No singing or dancing skills are required to get Jenna’s look. The Yellow Tamed Tiger Bandeau by Sabz Luxury is a great one-shouldered swimsuit. It mimics the stripes on Jenna’s suit as it features a horizontal tiger stripe and chain pattern, complemented by bands of yellow. Have you ever been watching TV and noticed a swimsuit you just have to have, but can’t figure out where it’s from? We’ve so been there. Luckily for you, while we were watching TV we noticed one of our favorite bikinis, the Ana Sailor Bikini by Vix Swimwear, is featured on a commercial for A&E’s new show The Glades. That’s one less swimsuit you have to hunt down!
