We’re gearing up for vacation season and preparing our wardrobes by reviewing the top designers’ 2012 Resort collections. We found love at first sight with the softer silhouette of Missoni’s resort collection. Filled with the perfect colors to evoke your seaside relaxation, this collection is vibrant yet calming.

Missoni bravely used neutrals and vibrant jewel tones – violet, canary yellow, sea-foam blue, coral, lilac, sapphire and lapis. The collection, perfect for your luxury getaway, features brilliant mixing of textures with raschel knit, chiffon, and silk. Design details include fabric blocking, pleating, fabric manipulation and large ties and bows. Missoni is coveted for their fabulous prints and this collection included stripes, geometrics and abstract florals. Evoking a sense of the 1920’s, this collection is simply sophisticated.

Prince William and Kate Middleton announce their engagement

News broke last week that Prince William had officially proposed to girlfriend Kate Middleton after 8 years of dating and immediately set the fashion world abuzz with talk of this up-and-coming princess and fashion icon.
