We can tell it’s late spring!!! All the glossy magazines are doing their swimsuit spreads, and this time one of our featured suits was spotted in Women’s Health Magazine. Just as People Style Watch called it, animal print swimsuits are in, and WHM decided to feature the Bardot Ruffle Bikini by Vix Swimwear.

We adore this leopard print bikini that features a goldtone hardware at center top, and romantic rows of ruffles along the top! The bottom of the Bardot Ruffle is a string bikini that ties on the side, for a style as versatile as it is sexy. It features moderate coverage back which creates a sexy yet modest look. The top is lined and comes with padding that can be removed at your discretion, allowing the shopper to add or detract volume. Can it get any better than this? We don’t think so!

The May 2010 issue of People Style Watch features the trendiest summer looks, including a swimsuit guide. We’ve told you on our swimwear blog how animal print bikinis are H-O-T for 2010, and what better way to reinforce our point than with People’s proclamation of the latter! The editors of this issue chose one of our best seller swimsuits, the Rich-n-Skinny Bikini by Lady Lux Swimwear.

The allure of this suit is a mixture of snake print fabric, along with the detailing of the suit. The leather straps with gold hardware at the waistline and triangle sides do the trick in the trend-o-meter. The bottom rear is a hybrid between moderate coverage and brazilian cut, it sits low on the hips to enhance the look. Paired with the animal print bikini, hard to go wrong.

The Rich-n-Skinny Bikini is only one of the one-of-a-kind designs by Christina Hanna, the creator behind the Lady Lux brand. California-born Christina has lived beachside in Newport Beach for many years, and hence met women with a taste for luxurious bikinis. She’s seen her share of both rich and skinny clients, and we’re guessing this look was inspired by them!

What is it with sexy models and their desire to wear topless monokinis? We told you earlier how an SI swimsuit shoot featured the Bendito Napoleon worn topless, and now another magazine follows suit. It seems the editors at Maxim also thought it was a good idea to feature the Bendito Suspiro by Agua Bendita Swimwear, topless style.

Hey, we’re not complaining. The look gives the swimsuit a sort of tribal feel. A notch up on the sexy meter for sure. The spread adds to the long list of Agua Bendita 2010 sighting this year, with Sports Illustrated, LA Times Magazine, Ocean Drive, and most recently Maxim Magazine. The sexy shoot was done in the jungles of Rio de Janeiro for the May 2010 issue (on newstands now). Don’t know about you, but we think the shoot sizzles. The come hither eyes, the perfectly placed hair, and the background… makes us want to say grr.

Bendito Suspiro by Agua Bendita comes with top

What we love about the Suspiro suit is that the suspenders make it a monokini, but can also be brought down and tied in the front and the suit becomes a bikini. It can be worn both ways. The contrasting colors in the sliding triangle top with the blue hues in the bottom give it an original factor, and the gold tones simply tie the look together. We love the under the sea inspired jellyfish print, and the rear cut gives you just the right amount of coverage without becoming a granny panty.

Bendito Napoloeon in Black

The Bendito Napoleon monokini was especially made in a nude color at the request of the SI editors. However, the original design comes in black, as seen on the right. There’s tons of detail in this suit that may not be visible in the spread (and let’s face, who can concentrate on the suit when looking at these shots?)

The Napoleon monokini is convertible, actually becoming a two-piece by detaching the connected torso area. This mid section features special laser cut detail in cutout shapes, and can be easily unbuttoned at the bottom and untied at the neck to detach it. The bottom features the Agua Bendita Swimwear branding along the waistline, and the rear end of the suit is a treat with cinched detail down the middle. This of course, done intentionally to enhance your bum area.

The list of picks goes on! More Sports Illustrated Swimsuit picks featuring our designers. Worn by model bombshells Bar Refaeli and Hilary Rhoda, these swimsuits sizzle.

Vix Swimwear made its rounds on the SI spread with styles such as the London Embroidered Bikini and the Taupe Embroidered Bikini. The London bikini is created out of a sleek peacock inspired fabric and features beading tracing the pattern on top.

The bottom is also a string bikini in a the trendy nude color that is in for the spring. Our favorite suit by far for this designer is the South Sea Pink bikini, modeled by Leo Di Caprio’s girlfriend, Bar Refaeli. This drop dead beauty from Israel was chosen to be on the cover of last year’s SI shoot, and this year her sizzle is at full throttle. Also by OndadeMar is the Native Skin bikini featuring brown zebra print with a padded bandeau top. A delightful pick.

Yellow Dianthus by Maaji Swimwear

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is here! And the 2010 bikinis featured are h-o-t. With exotic locations such as India, Portugal, and the Maldives as the backdrop, the models had to bring their A-game. The swimsuits selected were cherry-picked from the best of the bunch, and we are proud to carry several of the designers selected for this year’s spread.

Among our favorites are: 

Bendita Fiesta by Agua Bendita

Agua Bendita Swimwear presented two of its 2010 bikinis in the SI issue. The Bendita Fiesta, which features a medley of sequins embellishing the neckline and front bottom. This string bikini looks amazing on model Esti Ginzburg, an Israeli bombshell with an all American girl appeal. Simply gorgeous.

Also by Agua Bendita is the Bendito Biscuit, a couture bikini adorned with clear sequins throughout the top and bottom. The best part of this suit is the special beading embellishments on the waistline and straps. The suit was modeled by Hilary Rhoda, a native of Chevy Chase, MD.

Maaji Swimwear also debuted two of their fabulous designs. The Alas Acquaticae, an underwire bikini inspired by a mermaid godess, is strutted by blonde Swiss Julie Ordon. We love the bedroom backdrop. Goes with the lingerie flair in this frilly suit.

Also by Maaji is the vibrant Yellow Dianthus Bikini (above), which is a pinup inspired swimsuit with criss cross detail at bust. As you can tell by this year’s SI cover, bright yellow is in, and this appropriately themed number is modeled by Brazilian beauty Cintia Dicker. We love her pippy-long-stockings-meets-sexy-girl-next-door look.

Cleopatra bikini by Badgley Mischka

Finally, Badgley Mischka Swimwear makes its presence known on the SI 2010 issue with the gorgeous Cleopatra Underwire bikini in charcoal gray. You can’t go wrong with this demi cup top that features a beaded dark gray embellishment at center bust. An adorable little number for sure, modeled by the sexy Damaris Lewis, a proud native of the empire state that’s New York.

As seen in SI Swimsuit 2010: London Halter by Vix Swimwear

The coveted brand Vix Swimwear is featured on model Hilary Rhoda in a luxurious photoshoot in India, wearing the London Halter. This peacock inspired bikini top is from the Vix ‘London’ collection and has already been donned by the likes of Khloe Kardashian. We absolutely adore this Missoni-like print and recommend it in the bandeau swimsuit style as well.

As seen in SI 2010: Alas Acquaticae by Maaji Swimwear

Making a splash in the third consecutive SI edition is Maaji Swimwear, a brand that we’ve carried since our inception, and whom we are proud to share a partnership as the main online retailer worldwide.
