Black and white is a timeless combination and an eternal fashion “Do”. Much like the perfect pair of black pumps, a classic little black dress, and an uber-flattering designer swimsuit, black and white is a must-have look that will never go out of style. On the red carpet of this year’s Met Gala, up-and-coming style stars Elle Fanning, Frieda Pinto, and Ashley Olsen showed off their unique takes on this trend.

We all love getting chic tips and style pointers each month from in-the-know fashion magazines and trend-setters. Well, this month Glamour Magazine featured Ashley Greene wearing one of the hottest trends for swimwear 2011: the high-waisted bikini. High rise swimsuits have been all the rage this season, with celebrities like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift totally feeling the vibe of these suits.

Ashley Greene rocks this Nanette Lepore Swimwear style for her shining moment as this month’s Glamour cover girl. Her floral take on the classic pin-up silhouette makes for a super feminine look evokes a retro vibe, while still staying fresh and modern.

High-waisted bikinis have been a super hot trend so far this spring! Not only is this style completely adorable, but it also offers women who love to don a two-piece bikini the option to have a bit more coverage in the midsection. Though we think Ashley looks fab in her pink version of this style, we have been having a bit of a love affair with gold swimsuits this season and are currently obsessed with the Gold High Waisted Bikini from OndadeMar Swimwear.

Over the holiday weekend, LeAnn Rimes strutted her stuff on the beaches of Cabo San Lucas in a sexy red bikini. The songstress, who is currently vacationing in Mexico with fiancee Eddie Cibrian, decided to hit the beach and treat the paparazzi to a great view of her toned bikini body. Though LeAnn tweeted that it was a bit chilly outside, the weather certainly didn’t stop her from looking fabulous in this sexy two piece swimsuit.

We’ve always loved the youthful, fun style of Rachel Bilson, and this cute gray dress she rocked recently is certainly no exception. We adore this look and think it’s a trendy style that would translate perfectly to fashion swimwear. This girly dress has so many great details to it, we can’t choose a favorite!

Overall, we love her ensemble and think it’s the perfect look to translate into a sexy poolside style.

In this on-trend dress, Emily mixes a camel-colored skirt and shoes with the bright aqua color in the top of the dress. We’ve been loving geometric prints this season, and now the Material Girl herself is getting in on this trend. Proving that these angular prints are not just a designer swimwear exclusive, Madonna’s chic look is anything but square.

Madonna recently launched her latest project, Hard Candy Fitness, a gym and fitness center in Mexico City. To mark the occasion, she showed off her toned physique in a relaxed geometric print dress with thigh high boots. We adore the black and beige print of the dress with pops of cherry red that keep this look colorful and young.

With an arsenal of angular designs this year, we’ve got just the suits to channel this pop icon’s style into a fun poolside ensemble.
